Faridabad/Alive News: J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology will organize a two-week workshop on Instructional School for Teachers (IST) focusing on Principles of Continuum Mechanics from June 3 to15, 2024. 2024. The training program will be organized by the Department of Mathematics of the University under the joint aegis of National Center for Mathematics (NCM), IIT Bombay and TIFR Mumbai. The objective of the program is to enhance the quality of mathematical education by providing specialized training to PhD researchers and faculty across the country.
The program will discuss the fundamental concepts of Continuum Mechanics and Fluid Dynamics, two emerging areas of research in applied mathematics. A total of 36 lectures and 12 tutorials will be conducted by eminent mathematicians from prestigious institutions including IIT Kanpur, IIT Ropar, IIT Indore, Punjab University Chandigarh, Jadavpur University Kolkata and GNDU Amritsar. The program aims to promote mathematical excellence and raise the standards of teaching and research in mathematics, empowering teachers to inspire students to pursue advanced levels of mathematical study.
J.C. Bose University Vice Chancellor Professor S.K. Tomar, an eminent mathematician, will share his expertise through lecture sessions during the event.
