J.C. Bose University Student Sahil Kaushik Selected for National Environment Youth Parliament 2026

Faridabad/Alive News: Sahil Kaushik, a student of the Department of Communication and Media Technology and an active member of the Vasundhara Eco Club at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, has been selected for the national level of the National Environment Youth Parliament (NEYP) 2026.

The National Environment Youth Parliament (NEYP) is a prestigious programme aimed at creating awareness among young people about environmental issues and encouraging their active participation in environmental protection. The programme is organised by Students for Development (SFD) and Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi Organization, with support from the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

The university-level selection for NEYP was jointly conducted by the Vasundhara Eco Club and the Department of Environmental Sciences at J.C. Bose University. In the regional round for the Haryana and Rajasthan zone, around 200 students from different universities participated. Based on his excellent performance, Sahil Kaushik was selected for the national phase.

Congratulating Sahil, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar said that his selection for such a prestigious national platform is a matter of great pride for the university. He added that it reflects the growing environmental awareness among youth and wished Sahil success in the national-level competition.

Prof. Pawan Singh, Chairperson of the Department of Communication and Media Technology, also congratulated Sahil and extended his best wishes for the upcoming national round.

Dr. Renuka Gupta, Environment Nodal Officer of the University, Coordinator of Vasundhara Eco Club, and Chairperson of the Department of Environmental Sciences, informed that a total of 11 students were selected at the university level. She further shared that the final phase of the National Environment Youth Parliament will be held in February at the Legislative Assembly in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The Vasundhara Eco Club and the Department of Environmental Sciences wished Sahil Kaushik continued success and a bright future as he represents the university at the national level.
