Faridabad/Alive News: JC Bose University organized an impactful road safety awareness program titled “Safe & Safer on Road”. The event was held under the able supervision of Prof. Pardeep Dimri, Dean of Student Welfare, and Dr. Atma Ram, NSS Coordinator at the University.
The initiative aimed to create awareness among students and the community about road safety, reduce traffic accidents, and promote responsible driving behaviors. The program brought together faculty and students to engage in discussions, demonstrations, and activities focused on improving road safety and promoting safer driving practices.
The program commenced with an inaugural address by Prof. Pardeep Dimri, Dean of Student Welfare, who emphasized the need for safer roads and the role of students in spreading road safety awareness. He highlighted the rising number of accidents, particularly among youth, and stressed the importance of personal responsibility and adherence to traffic laws.The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Vikram Dua, President of the Rotary Club Faridabad, Secretary Anil Rahat, Faridabad Traffic Police SHO Vinod Kumar, and Traffic Tau Virender Singh.
Road safety experts from TCI Safe Safar and representatives from the Rotary Club Faridabad conducted interactive sessions on the key aspects of road safety. They discussed topics such as Traffic Laws & Regulations, Impact of Speeding and Drunk Driving, Pedestrian Safety, Use of Helmets & Seat Belts, and Role of Technology in Enhancing Road Safety (e.g., traffic management systems, apps). At the end of the program, a pledge ceremony was held where all attendees vowed to follow traffic rules, promote road safety awareness, and help create safer roads for everyone.
