J.C. Bose University Media Department Organizes Mock Press Conference

Faridabad/Alive News : The Department of Communication and Media Technology at J. C. Bose University, YMCA, Faridabad, organized an impressive mock press conference at the Maharishi Narad Media Studio. The aim of this event was to familiarize students with the actual process of journalism, public relations, and media operations. The chief guest of the program was District Public Relations Officer Murti Dalal, and the special guest was Professor Neelam Turk.

Chief guest District Public Relations Officer Murti Dalal wholeheartedly praised this mock press conference and also gave important suggestions to further improve this event. He said that the media is the fourth pillar of democracy. It is a work done in the national interest with responsibility, facts, and truth. The media plays a significant role in national disasters.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Sushil Kumar Tomar also appreciated the efforts of the students and said that such practical initiatives connect students with the real world of public relations and the media sector, which increases their confidence and enables them to face future challenges. In the current scenario, he said that during a national disaster, journalism is like a vigilant sentinel in the national interest. Journalism is also a form of patriotism.

Presiding over the mock press conference, Chairperson Professor Pawan Singh stated that the department has been regularly organizing this mock conference for the past four years. He said that such activities will provide students with an opportunity to understand the direction of their future more clearly.

Program coordinator Assistant Professor Dr. Sonia Hooda welcomed the guests and provided information about the participating teams of students. She also gave detailed information about the objective of the mock press conference and briefly introduced the award distribution process. The program began with project presentations by various teams, which covered diverse aspects in the fields of journalism, design, public relations, and media innovation.
