J.C. Bose University hosts First Aid and Disaster Management Training Camp

Faridabad/Alive News: J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in collaboration with the District Red Cross Society, Faridabad, today organized a First Aid and Disaster Management Training and Awareness Camp. The camp aimed to equip students and staff with essential life-saving skills and enhance emergency preparedness.
Led by M.C. Dhiman, Red Cross Trainer, and the District Red Cross team, the camp provided hands-on training in CPR, wound care, fracture management, and basic life support. Participants also learned about natural and man-made disasters, evacuation procedures, emergency response strategies, and mental preparedness during crises. The interactive sessions included practical demonstrations, mock drills, and Q&A segments, engaging 120 participants, including students, faculty, and staff. All attendees received certificates.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Navish Kataria, YRC Program Coordinator, Dr. Ashima Sharma, YRC Counsellor, and YRC volunteers. Prof. Pradeep Dimri, Dean of Student Welfare, and Prof. Munish Vashishth, Dean of Institutions, attended and motivated participants with their encouraging words.
