J.C. Bose Organizes Two-Day Workshop on Skill Development

Faridabad/Alive News: The Department of Physics at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad organized a two-day workshop on “Skill Development in Arduino and Embedded Systems” aimed at equipping students and research scholars with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in emerging technologies related to electronics, automation, and embedded systems.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from 40 students and research scholars, who are being trained in key areas such as Arduino microcontrollers, Embedded C programming, sensor interfacing, and circuit prototyping. The programme is designed to strengthen participants’ technical competencies in domains such as Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and modern research instrumentation.

Industry experts Mr. Kushagra Sharma and Mr. Ishan Sharma, Managing Directors of Wave Techtronics, were invited as resource persons. They provided valuable industry insights and conducted practical hands-on sessions, enabling participants to gain direct exposure to real-world applications of embedded systems and hardware programming.

The workshop is being convened by Dr. Anuj Kumar and Dr. Kaushal Kumar, who emphasized that the initiative has been carefully designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by enhancing students’ technical and problem-solving skills.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sonia Bansal, Chairperson, Department of Physics, highlighted the importance of practical learning and individual mentoring, stating that the workshop offers participants an excellent opportunity to gain direct experience in coding, hardware integration, and innovative technological applications.

The event is being organized under the guidance of Prof. Rajive Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, who stated that such initiatives reflect the university’s commitment to promoting industry-oriented education, experiential learning, and skill enhancement among students and researchers.

Prof. Anuradha Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, informed that the workshop will significantly contribute to improving participants’ technical competencies and broaden their future career opportunities in advanced technological fields.

Among those present during the event were Prof. Maneesha Garg, Dr. Manikant Yadav, Dr. Rashi, Dr. Suresh, and Dr. Shweta, who encouraged participants to make the most of the learning opportunity.
