Faridabad/Alive News : JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA has organized a two-week Induction Program for its newly admitted engineering students for the academic session 2023-24. The Program has been arranged by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with the office of Dean Student Welfare.
The program was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar by lighting the traditional lamp, followed by a prayer of goddess Saraswati, and singing of University Kulgeet. Dean (Institution) Prof. Sandeep Grover, Dean (FET) Prof. Raj Kumar, Dean Student Welfare Prof. Munish Vashisth and chairpersons of all engineering departments were also present on this occasion.
In his inaugural address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tomar welcomed the newly admitted students and shared invaluable advice to grab the opportunity of University life to craft not only your career but also your character. He said that as you strive for academic excellence; remember that true success lies in becoming exemplary citizens and contributing to nation-building.
Engineering, at its core, is about harnessing the power of innovation for the greater good of society.” Prof. Tomar also stressed the importance of holistic development, urging students to prioritize their health and engage in at least one sports activity to maintain a balanced and active lifestyle. He concluded by saying, “Remember, your personal growth is truly remarkable when your innovation benefits society.
Addressing the students, Dean (Institution) Prof. Sandeep Grover offered a comprehensive overview of the University. His address aimed to acquaint the incoming students with the institution’s ethos and the myriad teaching-learning and research resources at their disposal.
Dean (FET) Prof. Raj Kumar emphasized the importance of making oneself comfortable with the university environment as a foundational step toward a successful academic journey. Prof. Raj Kumar urged the students to actively engage with their peers, professors, and the various opportunities available on campus, fostering a sense of belonging.
At the end of the inaugural session, Dr. Rajni Saggu proposed the vote of thanks. These sessions aim to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the abundant resources and opportunities available within the University’s vibrant ecosystem.
