HGS student participated in essay writing competition

Faridabad/ Alive News: Whatever, it is a modern era, but we should have information about the both new and old age, so that we can speak some words on any topic at any time. Considering the thinking, student of Homerton Grammar School, Sector 21A, Faridabad, participated in Essay Writing Competition which was organized by the Syndicate Bank as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week observed from 31st October to 5th November 2016.

Meanwhile, the students from classes 9th to 12th participated in this competition. They wrote on the theme ‘Public Participation in Promoting Integrity and Eradicating Corruption’. The following students were the winners:-

1st Position – Gurmeet Kaur of class 11th

2nd Position – Shalini Sharma of class 12th

3rd Position – Pallavi Bhardwaj of class 9th

During this, the winner students in the competition as Gurmeet Kaur thinks that, “Fighting corruption is not just good governance. It’s self-defense. It’s patriotism. Corruption is the enemy of development and we should get rid of it.” Shalini believes that the duty of youth is to challenge corruption, the greatest single bane of our society today. According to Pallavi, “Both the government and the people must come together to achieve this national objective and eradicate corruption completely.”

The Principal of the school, Mrs. Archana Dogra, congratulated and blessed the winners.
