Faridabad/Alive News: Haryana Chief Minister said that there is a committed effort to increase education in science and technology in the state of Haryana. Haryana Government will set up a Science City on 50 acres in Faridabad or Gurugram district to promote new scientific research and innovations. Currently the search for suitable land is going on. The Chief Minister addressed as the chief guest during the closing ceremony of the 9th India International Science Festival held at THSTI Biotech Institute, Faridabad on Saturday.
He said that today Haryana has got the opportunity to host this 9th Science Festival. Congratulating for the successful organization of the event, he highlighted the participation of students, teachers, researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers, startups and international delegates in the Science Festival. He appreciated all the participants and their contribution.
To promote science education, the work of establishing science clubs is going on in 10 government senior secondary schools of each district. These science clubs will play an important role in promoting scientific temper and awareness among young students. Exposure visits are organized to increase the interest of meritorious students in science. During these trips, students are taken to various science centers and science cities across the country to introduce them to scientific research. Exceptional scientists in the state are honored with the Haryana Vigyan Ratna and Yuva Vigyan Ratna awards.
On this occasion, the Minister of Higher Education, MoolChand Sharma, addressed the gathering. Several dignitaries, including MLA, Seema Trikha and MLA, Sh. Narendra Gupta from Faridabad, besides numerous scholars and students, attended the program.
