Faridabad: Teachers as well as students of DAV-3 school assembled here to celebrate the birthday of shri Guru Nanak dev in its courtyard. Simultaneously, several important points related to his life was delivered. The gathering children were told that Guru Nanak dev ji was the messenger of AKAL PURAKH AHEGURU i.e. God. He never calls himself God or Rab, but people of different communities like Hindus call him guru & he was Pir to the Muslims.
Explaining about his maternal life that Nanak dev ji was born in 1469 in Talwandi Sabu, which currently Nankana sahib in Pakistan. His father was a village official & his mother name is mata Tripatha.
Guru Nanak dev ji gave the message of EK ONKAR KAR, that there is only one God.
Guru Sahib laid great emphasis on the three principles…i.e.
kirat karo-earning a living, honestly
vand chako-means sharing with others ,help poor or needy ones
naam japo-chanting & remembering god at all times har wele us akal purakh wahe guru da simran karo & there many more teachings are there like sewa & simarn both should goes simultaneously.
On this occasion principal of the school Ms. Jyoti Dahiya told to the children that Guruji birthday is celebrated worldwide. His sister nanaki & the local landlord rai bular were the first people who recognized divine qualities in guru sahib. Guru ji travelled a lot not only in across India but outside also. Thats why his followers are in whole of the world. But wherever he goes he spoke with people in this language. Besides the regional languages guru sahib knows persion & Arabic as well.
