Faridabad/Alive News: Faridabad Model School, Sector-31 celebrated Grandparents Day with joy, creativity and togetherness to mark the birth anniversary of founder FMS, Late Sh. C. B Malik. The distinguished guests present at the occasion were Sh. A. K Malik- FMS Managing Director, Managing Committee; Mrs. Raj Malik- Former Principal FMS, Sector-48 branch; Sh. Ramesh Chaudhary- father of FMS alumni and world acclaimed shooters Shweta Chaudhary and Toshinder Chaudhary. They were joined by Academic Director Mrs. Shashi Bala and Director Principal Mr. Umang Malik.
The function commenced with welcoming the grandparents with a tilak ceremony as a symbol of greeting and bringing an auspicious start to the event. Exciting indoor games and class activities like music, dance, craft, etc were organized by the teachers in which the grandparents participated with their grandchildren. The performance of the grandkids brought a smile on their faces and twinkle in their eyes.
The event continued with outdoor games like lemon & spoon race and balancing the cone race and in which the grandfathers and grandmothers participated, showcasing their energy and spirit. The winning grandparents of the games were greeted with gifts adding joy to the celebration.
Honourable FMS Managing Director Sh. A. K Malik emphasized on the bond between a child and the grandparent which is based on unconditional love and the contribution of the grandparents not just on the upbringing of a child but also in creating social awareness in the younger generation.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Director Principal Mr. Umang Malik, expressing gratitude to all grandparents for their unconditional love and their presence. He even praised the teachers and students for the well synchronized event. Smiles, cheers, and happy moments filled the day as everyone celebrated the beautiful bond between generations, which made the celebration truly memorable.
