First Annual Sports Day “Lakshya” holds at Govt. Girls School

Faridabad/ Alive News: The chilly winter air leaves Sushma unperturbed today. Wearing her school uniform with immense pride, she practices to run fast with her younger sister once again within the decrepit walls of her home. With bubbling joy and ostensible zeal, Sushma is among the hundreds of students of the Govt. Girls High School of Mohna village who thronged the campus today to participate in Lakshay-the first Annual Sports Day organised by MRIS Sector 14 under the aegis of Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation. In a bid to provide equitable learning opportunities to the underprivileged children, the foundation has adopted the Mohna village, offering services directed towards developmental activities in the school and village alike. The event aimed to encourage the young girls to not only engage themselves in a host of fun-filled races to strengthen overall fitness but also recognize the importance of sports in enhancing their team skills and elevating their self-esteem by kindling the spirit of camaraderie.
