Faridabad/Alive News: The Department of Communication and Media Technology at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, successfully organized a special one-day workshop on Filmmaking today. The main objective of the workshop was to familiarize media students with the technical and creative aspects of film production.
HOD Prof. Pawan Singh, honored the expert speakers by presenting them with books as mementos. In his welcome address, he emphasized that knowledge of creativity and the art of storytelling, along with technical expertise, is crucial in the media industry. This workshop will prove to be a boon for our journalism students, preparing them for the real-world challenges of the media industry and helping them understand the nuances of New Cinema.
During the workshop, author and director Anmol Darshan explained the importance of the script and the art of storytelling to the media students. He highlighted the principles of writing powerful narratives and screenplays, which form the foundation of any successful film.
Cinematographer Vikas Kumar Sharma provided detailed information on the latest techniques and intricacies related to New Cinema. He deeply explained important aspects such as camera movement, lighting, and visual composition, which play a decisive role in modern filmmaking.
In the final session, media students got the opportunity for a direct dialogue with the experienced experts of the industry. Coordinator Assistant Professor Dr. Rahul Arya extended the vote of thanks. Production Assistant Pankaj Saini and Production Assistant Vishal Berwal were also specially present on this occasion.
