Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, NH3, celebrated a vibrant and exhilarating Diwali on 10 November’2023 in the school premises. Beautifully decorated diyas, candles and toran added charm to the atmosphere.The morning embarked by seeking almighty’s blessings with Gayatri mantra and a prayer song followed by a breathtaking melodious rendition on ‘Mere prabhu raam aaye hain’ by the choir of XI and XII. Thavnesh of grade X emphasized upon the victory of knowledge over ignorance, good over evil and hope over despair in his eloquent speech.
Eishit of grade VII chanted shlokas in Sanskrit whose vibrations infused the enviroment with purity and serenity. A captivating dance performance was a bonus bonanza of the day. The graceful dancers of grade IX and X showcased perfectly synchronized garba movements on ‘Ambe maa ki upasana’. A quiz related to Diwali was also conducted in order to apprise the students about the festival that marks the triumph of light over darkness.The entire programme was aired live on YouTube to reach out to its maximum stakeholders. Myriad activities were organized for the students of all classes to mark the festival of lights.
Students prepared Paper Diyas with motivational quotes, Diwali cards, Bandhanwars, Shubh labh hanging and decorated diyas too. They drove home the message of celebrating green and noise free Diwali. An Inter- House Rangoli Competition was also organized wherein the students of all the four houses made attractive and colourful rangolis on the topic ‘ Smog after Diwali’ using safe, non chemical and harmless colours in which Shradhanand house obtained the first position. All the activities gave the students a great opportunity to express their imagination and creativity.
Each presentation was unique, eye catchingly colourful and attractive that added a perfect setting to the festivity. At length, the Principal of the school, Ms Jyoti Dahiya, offered warm wishes to the pupils and reiterated that they should celebrate Diwali in its purest form by lighting diyas, lamps and spreading happiness amongst everyone. She not only applauded the participants for their infectious enthusiasm but the faculty members also for their untiring efforts in making this event a booming success.
