Faridabad/Alive News: DAV school celebrated Dussehra and special assembly was organized in which the students highlighted the importance of the festival and how it is celebrated in the country. The program started with a speech given by Naitik of Class-2 which was followed by a speech highlighting the importance of this day. The shining stars of Class-2 presented a mesmerizing Durga Vandana. Cultural programs were organized in the school premises. Children of class LKG and UKG presented a dance on “Ram Stuti”.
Little Devians of class I and II presented a dance drama (NRTIYA NATIKA) in which they performed scenes from the stories of Ramayana. Chaupai of Ramayana was presented by Khyati of Class-UKG . The colorful costumes worn by the dancers and the colorful sticks, arrows and swords they carried were attractive. The little ones were dressed up like Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Ravana.
The students also learned some beautiful craft work and made the effigy of Ravana with great enthusiasm. Little children of class Noor. and Lkg made cut-outs of Ravana from waste paper. He imbibed the message – good always triumphs over evil. In the end, School Principal Jyoti Dahiya appreciated everyone for presenting a wonderful program and gave her blessings.
