Faridabad/Alive News : DAV Public School, Sector 49 had the privilege of hosting a remarkable event, the Mega Plantation Drive ‘Selfie with Plantation – 2’ in association with Victora Industries spreadheaded by Mr. S.S.Banga, MD Victora Industries and popularly known as the TREE MAN of Haryana.
The drive aimed to instill a sense of environmental responsibility among students and staff while making a significant
contribution to mitigating climate change through extensive tree plantation. The programme commenced with the welcome of the guest and addressal by the Principlal of the school, Sri Rajan Gautam. The scintillating dance performances by the student dancers mesmerized the audience.
A video showcasing the proud moments of Shri S.S. Banga wherein, he was felicitated with various awards for his eminent work in the field of environment and women upliftment was also shown. In his address, the guest emphasized the urgency of environmental conservation and the critical role trees play in maintaining ecological balance. Under his expert guidance, the students engaged in planting a diverse array of native saplings.
The event concluded with the guest encouraging the school to continue its efforts with sustainability. The drive was an astounding success.
