Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, Sector-49, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with a grand special assembly filled with enthusiasm, patriotic spirit and cultural splendour.
The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the national flag, a symbol of unity and national pride. The special assembly held in the auditorium began with an invocation to God. The event featured patriotic poems, mesmerising solo and group music and dance performances and a soulful flute rendition of Vande Mataram, filling the atmosphere with a sense of nationalism.
Adding a vibrant touch, the toddlers charmed everyone with delightful dances, rhymes and creative drawings of national symbols. Meanwhile, the young students engaged in a vibrant tricolour hand-painting activity, fostering a sense of unity and artistic expression. To honour achievements, prizes were awarded to students excelling in sports, music and co-curricular activities.
The highlight of the day was a heartfelt musical skit by the Primary Wing that paid a heartfelt tribute to the soldiers of India, leaving the audience emotional and proud. This was followed by a Haryanvi dance performance and a parade, both of which received thunderous applause.
In his address, Principal Shri Rajan Gautam highlighted the importance of Republic Day, emphasising the need for students to embrace their responsibilities as citizens and contribute actively to India’s progress. He encouraged them to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution and work towards a better future.
The programme concluded with the Shanti Path and a melodious rendition of the National Anthem on the guitar, leaving the audience brimming with pride and reverence for the nation. The event truly reflected the spirit of patriotism and unity, making it a memorable day for everyone present.
