Faridabad/Alive News: Students of DAV Public School, Sector-49, excelled in badminton and won various tournaments. At the Shining Star Tournament at ProStar Badminton Academy on 16 December, Krishna won a silver medal in boys’ singles U17. At the Mantor Cup held in Mantor Badminton Academy at Angels Public School, Sector 21A on December 10, Krishna exhibited exceptional skill by winning gold in Boys’ Singles U15 and U17. Notably, Krishna was awarded the title of the Player of the Mantor Cup Tournament.
In the Faridabad District Ranking 2023, Krishna and his partner Ayush secured the second position in Boys’ Doubles U15. Nirmala Thapa, mother of Krishna Koothur, displayed remarkable talent in the Faridabad District Masters Badminton Championship. She secured gold in Women’s Singles 40+, Women’s Doubles 40+, and Mixed Doubles 40+. At the Faridabad District Badminton Ranking held at Manav Rachna Sports Academy from December 23 to 25, 2023, Chhavi Yadav claimed the top position in both the Under 17 Girls and Under 19 Girls category.
Devanshi Banga achieved the first runner-up position in the Under 19 Girls category at the same Faridabad District Badminton Ranking event. Jatin and Ketan Nagar secured the first position in Boys’ Doubles Under 19 category at the Faridabad District Badminton Ranking. Aayush Bhatiya secured the second position in Boys’ Singles Under 15 and Boys’ Doubles Under 17. Tashvi Gupta won gold medal in Girls Singles Under 13 in Play All Junior Badminton Tournament in Noida from 10 to 11 December. The principal and teachers of the school congratulated the excellent presentation given by the students of the school.
