Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, NH-3, NIT Faridabad celebrated Janmashtami on September 3, 2026, with great enthusiasm and devotion. The school campus was beautifully decorated with colourful jhankis depicting different aspects of Lord Krishna’s life. A decorated cradle featuring Little Kanha was the centre of attraction.
The programme began with the Bhog ceremony, offered to Lord Krishna by Principal Mr. Tarun Prakash. Students dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha added to the festive spirit. They presented speeches, dance performances and a colourful Nritya Natika based on stories from Lord Krishna’s life, including the killing of Kaliya Naag.
The Dahi Handi ceremony was another major attraction. Students enthusiastically participated in breaking the matki filled with butter and curd. Teachers also shared interesting stories from Krishna’s childhood, making the celebration both entertaining and meaningful.
The celebration concluded with Krishna Prasad, including fresh butter and kheer. Principal Mr. Tarun Prakash blessed the students and extended Janmashtami wishes to everyone. The event filled the school campus with devotion, joy and a spirit of togetherness.
