Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School Ballabhgarh celebrated grandparents’ week from September 18 to September 23 to honour the role of grandparents in the lives of children. The Pre-Primary wing invited the grandparents of the students to participate in various activities such as cooking food without flame, reciting poems, telling stories, singing duet songs and dancing as couples.
The highlight of the celebration was the twinning of grandparents with their grandchildren, where they wore matching outfits. The celebration culminated with a grand finale on September 23, Saturday, in the conference hall. The grandparents showcased their talents and were honoured by the school management.
The children and the teachers cheered and applauded for their performances. The conference hall was filled with laughter, music, and emotions as the grandparents and the children shared their happiness and gratitude. The celebration was a huge success and received a lot of praise from the parents. They appreciated the school’s initiative to involve the grandparents in the school activities and to make them feel special.
The school principal Namita Sharma thanked the grandparents for their participation and contribution. She said that they enriched the lives of the children with their love, joy, and wisdom. She also mentioned that the celebration strengthened the bond between the generations and fostered intergenerational learning.
