Faridabad/Alive News: The young DAVians of DAV Public School, NH-3, NIT Faridabad, came together to celebrate the vibrant festival of Haryali Teej with immense enthusiasm and cultural fervor on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Embracing a rich, traditional Haryanvi theme, the entire school campus radiated festive joy.
The school grounds were exquisitely decorated with colorful buntings, traditional bangles, interactive mehndi stalls, and authentic Haryanvi decor. A major highlight of the event was the carefully curated rural tableaus showcasing the deep heritage and culture of Haryana.
The little students enthusiastically portrayed daily village life through depictions of traditional mud houses, rustic chulhas (clay stoves), hand fans, hardworking farmers working their fields, and a lively Dangal (wrestling scene) complete with farming tools and crop displays.
Dressed in bright, colorful traditional Haryanvi attire, the children captivated the audience with energetic folk dance performances, including Ghoomar and Jhumar, bringing the authentic spirit of the state alive on stage.
The festive morning culminated with soulful folk singing, mehndi application, and the distribution of the classic festive sweet, Ghewar, ensuring a joyous and memorable experience for everyone present.
Addressing the gathering, School Principal Mr. Tarun Prakash highlighted the significance of the festival. He emphasized that active participation in traditional cultural events helps students remain rooted in their rich heritage and cultural values. He concluded the celebration by extending his warm Haryali Teej wishes to all students, teachers, and staff members.
