Faridabad: DAV NH-3, NIT celebrated ‘EARTH DAY’ along with ‘GREEN DAY’ on April-22, with great deal of enthusiasm & action. A special assembly marked the event. The students & staff members of the school took active part in various activities. The main aim of the event was to motivate & spread awareness among the students on some ways to save the MOTHER EARTH.
The day began with a colouring activity. Students were involved in colouring the sheet. Each child coloured a picture of earth. They were informed about the importance of Earth day. The program began with a thought, given by Nishtha of UKG(A) & Arnav of class UKG(b)followed by the poem on earth recited by Sonal & Garv of class I(b).Then students Vachi & Muskaan of class II(B)&(C) presented a speech on the importance of earth day.
The main motto behind celebrating Green day is to introduce Green colour to kids. All Kindergarten class rooms were decorated on themes of Green (Trees & different kinds Leaves). Teachers and kids were dressed in Green. Kids were asked to bring Green colour objects. A note on Green colour & Earth Day was presented by the teachers of kindergarten. Activities conducted on Green day, vegetable printing activity was conducted for all the kindergarteners. In the meantime, best Green Boy & Green Girl were also selected.
At the end, the school Principal Ms. Jyoti Dahiya guiding the students to work for the environment & gave valuable information that how to save natural resources & showing concern about global healing and help understanding the importance of the three P’s — Protect, Preserve, Promote.
