Faridabad/Alive News: To celebrate the connections among all members of the constellation that make up our family, DAV Public School NH-3 celebrated National Family day on 15th May 2021 with great enthusiasm. 15th May was declared as International Family Day by UN General Assembly when the importance of basic family system the most essential element of social solidarity and a serene society was realised.
Today, when the whole world is bound to social distancing and everyone is in state of isolation, our families are the ones that have embraced us with all theaffection. With an aim to bring forward the benefits of staying together, sharing and caring, the students of 6th and 7th got involved in myriad fun activities with their families. An inter-class speech competition and drawing and colouring
completion were organised for students of Grade 6. In their speech, the students laid stress upon the significance of family as the foundation pillar of the society. They drew family trees with the photographs of their family members pasted on it. It implied that a family is like branches on a tree, that grows in different directions yet the root remains the same. Students of Grade 7 designed a family meal, decorated their homes, created a photo album and played board games
with their families.
Not only the students but their families too rejoiced the celebration to the fullest. The Principal Jyoti Dahiya, wished everyone a Happy Family Day and appreciated the students for their efforts. She also reiterated the undeniable prominence of a family by saying it is a pivotal source to overcome the social and individual fears.
