Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Gian Prakash Chopra Public School, Sector 49, Faridabad, hosted the DAV State (Zonal) Level Taekwondo and Judo Tournament for boys and girls. The two-day event saw the participation of 543 students from 37 DAV schools across Haryana, competing in under-14, under-17, and under-19 categories.
The tournament was organised under the leadership of Principal Sh. Rajan Gautam, with smooth arrangements for matches as well as the stay of participants. Ms. Charu Maini, Principal of DAV Public School, Sector 49, Gurugram, was the special guest at the event.
Judo (Boys): DAV Public School, Thermal Colony, Panipat, won in under-14 and under-19, while DAV Police Public School, Sonipat, won under-17.
Judo (Girls): DAV Public School, Sector 14, Faridabad, won under-14, and OS DAV Public School, Kaithal, secured under-17 and under-19.
Taekwondo (Boys): DAV Police Public School, Panipat, won under-14 and under-17, while MLS DAV Public School, Narnaul, won under-19.
Taekwondo (Girls): JP DAV Public School, Ganaur, won under-14, DAV Public School, NTPC, Faridabad, won under-17, and MLS DAV Public School, Narnaul, won under-19.
The matches were judged by experienced referees and coaches, ensuring fair play. The tournament ended on a positive note, highlighting discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Principal Rajan Gautam was praised for his efforts in promoting both academics and sports at the school.
