Faridabad/Alive News: D.A.V. Public School, Sector 37, Faridabad organized a Book Week from 21 November to 28 November 2022, with an objective to inculcate the joy for reading among the students. The event was inaugurated by the dynamic Principal of the school, Deepti Jagota, who emphasized the significance of books in a student’s life and urged them to explore these treasure troves of deep knowledge.
The entire school was abuzz with enthusiasm as the students were engaged in myriad activities such as Designing Book Covers and Book Marks, Poster Making, Story Writing, On-the-Spot Writing Competition, Character Enactment from stories, Encyclopedia- Cover Page Designing.
The week-long celebration witnessed many literary activities as well, as students of Class I and their enthusiastic mothers enthralled everyone with their story recitals in the Story Telling Session. An engaging Story-Telling Session by Nupur Awasthi Gaur, Indu Punj, Kuldeep Singh.
A Book Fair was also organized in the school precincts which was appreciated and enjoyed by one and all. Passionate young children, beaming with joy, browsed the vast array of books belonging to various genres that were on display. The week-long extravaganza, full of fun and learning came to a close with a special assembly based on the theme ‘Importance of Books’, in which the winners of the various competitions were awarded.
