Faridabad/ Alive News: The parishioners of St. Joseph’s Church NIT – 5, Faridabad celebrated the birthday of Mother Mary, mother of Jesus Christ with great enthusiasm. As the preparation for the feast, Novena Prayers were said for nine days ahead of the feast. Starting from 30th August to 7th September with solemn devotion.
The faithful had gathered in great number in the church premises and was packed to its capacity for the solemn celebration on 8th September. The main celebrant for the holy mass was Fr. Thomas OCD from palli along with their newly appointed parish priest Fr. Moben Michael and asstt parish priest Fr. Anil Raj. The liturgy was focused on steadfast faith that one should have for Mother Mary.
Talking to mediapersons parish priest Fr. Moben extended the words of gospel and also enlightened us with the biography of Mother Mary and stating that Mother Mary was privileged to be the first human being to enter in body and soul into the heavenly glory. Rev. Father stated mother is a mother not related to any particular community. She is mother of all. He stressed the Nativity of Mother Mary. His dedication and devotion to our lady was evident in the weekly novena.
The feast concluded with a fellowship meal. All kudos to the parish council, who under the guidance of the parish priest and asstt. Parish priest worked hard to make this event a grand success.
