Chief Executive Officer of Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority presided over the meeting

Faridabad/Alive News: Sudhir Rajpal Chief Executive Officer, Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) today presided over a coordination meeting held with officials of various government departments of the Faridabad district, and directed to expedite the ongoing infrastructure development works and work in mutual coordination with one another.

Present in the meeting were Vikram, Deputy Commissioner Faridabad, Jitendra Singh Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Faridabad (MCF) and other senior officers from Faridabad Smart City, FMDA, Irrigation Department, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam among others.

All the departments have been asked to work in close coordination with each other to help in providing optimum civic services and amenities to the people of the city. Works pertaining to road infrastructure, water supply, sewer management, etc, are being regularly monitored and any bottlenecks that may be arising during the execution of the projects are being resolved in such meetings.

Sudhir Rajpal also took stock of the work pertaining to the patchwork on the road along the Agra Canal upto Chandawali bridge which is under the jurisdiction of UP Irrigation Department. The existing road is in a debilitated condition and is accident-prone due to the large number of potholes on it. He directed the UP Irrigation department to fill the potholes & cover them with bituminous patches.

To ensure quick progression of this work, CEO FMDA also issued instructions that FMDA will deposit the funds amounting to Rs 2.5 Crore required for this patchwork to make the road in motorable condition to offer respite to the citizens. He also issued instructions to HSAMB to take up the repair and upgradation of the damaged link road from Village Chandawali to Bukharpur.

He further outlined that all concerned departments must ensure maximum installation of sign boards on their respective roads on priority basis to help citizens in identifying under whose jurisdiction is the maintenance and repair of the city roads. Sample of the boards along with the colour coding of the respective departments have been provided by FMDA.
