Baisakhi Celebrated at DAV School NH-3

Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, NH3 NIT was immersed in a wave of colour, culture, and celebration as students and staff came together to mark the joyous festival of Baisakhi with enthusiasm and devotion.

The event, held within the school premises, aimed at familiarizing students with the cultural richness and heritage of Punjab. The celebrations kicked off with a special morning assembly where students from Nursery to Grade V gathered to seek the blessings of the Almighty and express gratitude for nature’s bounties.

The spirit of Baisakhi was brought alive through a series of vibrant performances. Kamya of Grade 10 delivered an insightful speech on the historical and cultural importance of the festival. This was followed by a beautiful poem recitation by Saiyam, who painted vivid imagery of rural life and golden wheat fields in full bloom.

The young students looked delightful in their colourful traditional attire, adding charm to the celebration. Shivanshika captivated the audience with her energetic dance performance on the popular song “Aayi Baisakhi Soniyo”. Mishti of Grade 7 kept the spirits high with her dynamic performance on “Kudi Fatte Chakdi”. A highlight of the event was the lively dhol presentation by Grade 2 students, whose enthusiastic dance moves to the rhythmic beats lit up the entire atmosphere.

Principal Jyoti Dahiya addressed the gathering and emphasized that Baisakhi is a celebration of hope, new beginnings, and joy. She appreciated the efforts of students and staff and encouraged everyone to value and celebrate all festivals with equal respect and enthusiasm.

The event was a perfect blend of learning and celebration, leaving behind memories of joy and cultural pride.
