According to the threat, Bachchan’s bungalow, ‘Jalsa’, could be targeted between October 31 and November 27. The sender reportedly claimed the attack would be retaliation for Operation Blue Star in 1984.
The email also contained pro-Khalistan slogans and references to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. However, the identity and credibility of the sender have not been independently established.
Diljit Dosanjh Threatened Over Interaction with Amitabh Bachchan

Mumbai Police Conduct Security Checks at BMC Headquarters
Following the threat, Mumbai Police personnel, the bomb detection and disposal squad, and a police dog squad reached the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters.
Security teams searched several areas of the building, including the mayor’s and deputy mayor’s offices. No suspicious object was found during the checks.
The BMC subsequently filed a complaint with the police. Mumbai Police and the cybercrime unit are investigating the origin of the email and attempting to identify the sender.
Police said the BMC office had received a threatening email and that the investigation was ongoing.
