BJP Govt. trying to divert attention of masses

The five-day Yoga Mahotsav (festival) has earned the wrath of the opposition leaders, who have called it a political propaganda.
Describing it as wastage of money running into several crores, Lalit Nagar, Congress MLA from the Tigaon Assembly constituency, alleged the BJP government and its leaders were trying to divert the attention of the masses from the real issues by holding such events. He said while yoga was not a new discovery and people have been practicing it for thousands of years, spending crores on it was not justified.
Claiming the money being used on Ramdev and yoga was a political stunt of the ruling party, whose ministers, MLAs and bureaucrats were busy making preparations for the programme at the cost of grievances of the people. He said while thousands of residents were not getting basic amenities, such as drinking water and roads, funds worth crores were being used for organising the event.
