Faridabad/ Alive News: Larsen & Toubro Limited, Faridabad campus organized ULIM-2017 (Uplift India Movement – Inter School Model Competition) under Corporate Social Responsibility – 2017-18 on Dec, 21st 2017. The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Munesh Chaudhry, Block Education Officer, Sec-28, Faridabad along with S.K. Lamba and A.S. Lamba, Group Chief Executive & Whole Time Director, L&T-MHPS Boilers Pvt. Ltd.
The scope of the programme was development of skill among young students in science and Technology. In Sep 2017 discussion was held with Block Education Officer to initiate the Programme. Shortlisted five Govt. Sr. Sec. Schools i.e. Sharan, Tigaon, NIT-1, NIT- 3 and Sehatpur, Faridabad. The programme was divided in two stage i.e. primary selection of students on the basis of primary ideas of models on small level model making in 9th and 11th classes of each school during October and November Months. The programme was totally sponsored by the company and volunteers. After Successful completion of the first stage organisers shortlisted 3 students for each model and 5-6 models from each school for final event. Approx, 28 models from all five schools were shortlisted for the competition.
The competition was judged by Dr. Munesh Chaudhry, BEO, Savinder Kaur Lamba, President Nai Umang, Seema Akhauri, A. S. Lamba, Group Chief Executive & Whole Time Director, LMB and D. K. Chaudhuri, Chief Executive (EPC) of LMB, Babul Kumar Gaguly, Parvesh Mittal, Chinna Rao, Anil Kumar Mehta, D. K. Shrivastava, Moisudeen, D. S. Kapoor and R. Sitaraman.
During this, prizes were distributed to the winner of 9th Class – 3rd prize to GSSS, Sehatpur, 2nd Prize for automatic railway crossing system to GSSS, NIT-1, 1st Prize for Pedal Generator to GSSS, Sharan Village, and also distributed to the winner of 11th Class – 3rd prize sewage water treatment plant GSSS, NIT-3, 2nd Prize for Hydraulic JCB to GSSS, Sharan Village, 1st Prize for Electro-magnetic train to GSSS, NIT-3,. Prizes were 1st prize – Six Kindle, Second Prizes – Six Bi-Cycles, 3rd Prize – Six Bluetooth speaker with FM Radio consolation prizes were T-Shirts and School bags for all Students. Pick and drop facility was provided to the students and teacher to participate in the programme venue at Block Education Office, Sec-28, Faridabad from school and back.
At the end, momentous distributed to the school teacher coordinator followed by snacks for all students and other staff members.
