Faridabad: Within the premises of D.A.V Public School, NH-3, Spic Macay organised a cultural programme to revive the art of Pandvani folk songs. Dr. Smt. Tijan Bai was invited to enthrall the audience and students.
On this occasion, principal of the school Mrs. Jyoti Dahiya and Dr. Satish Ahuja and Mrs. Sunita Ahuja welcomed her and all her team members
She and her other team members armed with simple musical instruments like harmonium, table and banjo captivated everyone. In her traditional attire she transformed herself into different characters of Mahabharata and depicted the scene in her resonant voice. In her versatile hands, the tamboura sometimes becomes a gada of Bhima or sometimes a bow of Arjuna enchanted the minds of audience. She is also a true depiction of women empowerment, who being an illiterate lady has the power to receive many honours and laurels.
The event came to an end by a big applause and a thanks giving speech by the principal of the school.
