Faridabad/Alive News: DAV GPC Public School, Sector 49, organised a five-kilometre ‘Run for DAV’ on October 2, 2026, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti. The event was organised in accordance with the directions of DAV College Managing Committee (DAV CMC), Delhi.
Students from different classes participated in the run along with their parents and teachers. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, discipline, physical well-being and the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle.
The run started from the school premises and passed through the designated route. The initiative also delivered a message to local residents about the importance of fitness, healthy living and keeping the surroundings clean.
For the safe and smooth conduct of the event, teachers were deputed at different points along the route. Water stalls were also arranged at suitable locations for the participants. Refreshments were provided to all participants after the run.
Winners were announced in different categories in recognition of their performance and participation. The enthusiastic participation of students, parents and teachers turned the event into a community activity focused on fitness and togetherness.
The event was organised under the guidance of Principal Ms. Jyoti Dahiya. The school highlighted the importance of encouraging students and families to adopt healthy and active lifestyles.
