Faridabad/Alive News: A special masterclass on ‘Designing and Writing for the Web’ was organized for postgraduate students by the Department of Communication and Media Technology at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad. Satyam Pandey, Software Development Engineer at Onetic Technologies, was the keynote speaker for the event. He introduced students to various aspects of web design, web writing, and digital technology.
Chairperson of CMT Prof. Pawan Singh stated that under the ‘Weekly Skill Boost’ series, the masterclass provided MAJMC students with hands-on learning in web design, AI coding, and portfolio building using Visual Studio Code software—skills that play a crucial role in the evolving media landscape. Students were also introduced to programming languages such as HTML and CSS.
Subject expert Satyam Pandey provided students with fundamental coding knowledge, explaining that modern technology allows one to build a website without overly complex procedures. He also gave a practical demonstration on developing websites using prompts.
He emphasized that students aiming to work in digital media must possess knowledge of web design, digital tools, and emerging technologies alongside writing skills. Postgraduate students actively participated in the session, gaining insights into web design, coding, and AI-assisted website development.
Faculty members Dr. Sonia Hooda, Dr. Mausam Kumar, and Adarsh were present on the occasion. They encouraged the students and highlighted the importance of such practical and technical masterclasses. The program proved to be informative, highly useful, and inspiring for the attendees.
