Faridabad Model School Hosts CBSE Workshop on Life Skills for Teachers

Faridabad/Alive News: Faridabad Model School, Sector-31, organized a CBSE Capacity Building Programme on “Life Skills (Advanced)” to help teachers improve their teaching methods and support overall student development.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and a warm welcome for the guest speakers. The workshop was attended by Director-Principal Mr. Umang Malik, school coordinators, teachers, and participants from different schools.

The session was led by Dr. Mahender Singh Vashisht, Principal of St. Brijmohan Lal Sr. Sec. School, Faridabad, and Dr. Babita Dashrath Ingale, a CBSE-certified resource person and content writer.

During the workshop, teachers learned about the importance of life skills in students’ growth. The speakers explained how teachers can also act as mentors for students’ mental and emotional well-being. The session included interactive activities that helped teachers understand skills like communication, problem-solving, decision-making, empathy, self-awareness, resilience, and critical thinking.

The programme encouraged teachers to think about new ways of teaching and to create a positive classroom environment. It also supported the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP), focusing on both academic and personal development of students.

The workshop ended with the felicitation of the resource persons and a vote of thanks to all participants for their active involvement.
