Faridabad/Alive News: A Haryana–Africa Strategic Partnership Meeting was held at Surajkund in Faridabad, where ambassadors and high commissioners from several African countries expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation with Haryana across multiple sectors.
During the meeting, representatives from South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana, Uganda and Egypt discussed opportunities for collaboration in skill development, entrepreneurship, industrial investment, agriculture, food processing, IT, tourism, and cultural exchange. They said such partnerships could create new employment opportunities for youth in both regions.
The international delegates appreciated Haryana’s progressive policies, digital governance systems, and industry-friendly environment. They expressed confidence that these strengths would help build long-term and practical partnerships.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini assured the representatives that the state government would provide full support to promote trade and cooperation.
Delegates shared specific areas of interest:
South Africa showed interest in skill-based programs, tourism development, and food processing. Tanzania highlighted existing collaboration, noting that professionals from Haryana are already contributing to sectors like agriculture, trade, mining, and manufacturing there.
Rwanda praised Haryana’s Single Window System for fast and transparent approvals, calling it attractive for investors.
Ghana emphasized opportunities in coffee processing and Shea Butter trade, along with cooperation in IT and digital infrastructure.
Uganda expressed interest in natural resource industries and manufacturing, and invited entrepreneurs and youth from Haryana to explore investment opportunities, also mentioning its visa-on-arrival facility for Indians. Egypt noted strong existing cultural and trade ties and suggested expanding cooperation through tourism, industry, and cultural exchange.
Overall, participants agreed that Haryana’s fast decision-making, investor-friendly environment, and modern systems provide a strong foundation for meaningful partnerships with African nations in the future.
