Celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev by taking out city kirtan

Faridabad/Alive News: On the occasion of the 554th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism, an impressive Nagar Kirtan was taken out by the devotees of Gurdwara Singh Sabha located in Sector 37 on the morning of 26th November. As soon as the city kirtan started, the whole atmosphere echoed with “Jo bole so nihaal, sat shri akal”, people around were filled with enthusiasm.

A grand palanquin carrying the Guru Granth Sahib was brilliantly decorated and bands, playing traditional instruments and displaying their martial arts skills, were adding to the festive spirit. Crowds of devotees had gathered to see this grand event, people wished for world peace and progress of the country.

D.A.V located in Sector 37. Under the leadership of Public School Principal Deepti Jagota, along with Supervisory Head Adarsh Sharma and staff, participated in the grand procession paying respect to Guru Nanak Dev and his invaluable teachings to the great saint. During this, the message of peace, brotherhood and selflessness was also given. The school band displayed excellent skill and coordination and added color to the festival by attracting the attention of passers-by and devotees.
