Faridabad/ Alive News: As the Ramadan is mandatory on every adult man and woman, similarly Zakat-al Fitr in the month of Ramadan is also mandatory to take out from their pure assets, because it is religious tax/alms (zakat) paid to the poor on the day, when Muslims break the fasting period at the end of the month of Ramadan. This tax/alms is known as Zakat al-Fitrah. The Muslims have fast all the day, feed the poor, avoid wrong deeds and worship more and more of God. But all their efforts prove worthless if they do not pay Fitrah to the poor before Eid-Ul Fitr, so that the poor can also celebrate the festival.
Replying an answer of a question, what happens if someone does not give fitrah? Maulana Akhtar Hussain said his all worshiping (Ibadat) will be useless. His fasting, offering Namaz (worshiping) and feeding poor the God (Allah) will never accept. The Maulana said that in his holy book (The Quran), Allah has expressly told that fasting especially in the month of Ramadan is (Farz) mandatory for all the Muslim male and female who have contained an age of 14. This is because, the rich can understand the compulsions of the poor and should understand them like themselves. He said this year per person Fitrah is Rs 40 and this amount every man must have to distribute in poor before offering the Eid-Ul- Fitr Namaz, otherwise his Namaz will not be accepted.
