Youth Empowered with Constitutional Values at JC Bose University Program

Faridabad/Alive News: JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in collaboration with the Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies (ICPS), organized an Outreach Program on “Empowering Youth with Constitutional Values and Fundamental Duties.” The event was managed by the Office of the Dean of Student Welfare and aimed at encouraging students to become responsible citizens by understanding the Constitution better.

The program began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by the invited dignitaries, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar gave the opening address, where he spoke about the university’s efforts in environmental sustainability and how they relate to our Fundamental Duties. He urged the youth to actively take part in building a better and united India.

Dr. Seema Kaul Singh, Director of ICPS, shared the goals of her institute and emphasized the importance of creating awareness about the Constitution among the younger generation. She praised the university for its commitment to shaping responsible citizens.

Ms. Ankita Bali, Legal Consultant from the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, gave an informative talk on Constitutional Values. She explained how Fundamental Rights form the base of our Constitution and highlighted the importance of balancing these rights with the Directive Principles of State Policy to create a fair society.

Shri Pradeep Chaturvedi, Former Joint Secretary of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, spoke about how Fundamental Duties are a part of our daily lives and encouraged everyone to follow them sincerely for the progress of the nation.

Prof. Devender Singh, Vice Chancellor of National Law University, Sonepat, discussed the Preamble of the Constitution. He also talked about constitutional amendments that empower the youth to lead the country toward development and justice.

The event received active participation from students, teachers, and staff. It ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Pradeep Dimri, Dean of Student Welfare, who thanked all speakers, organizers, and attendees for making the program a success.
