Faridabad/ Alive News: In its continued endeavour to collaborate with frontline institutions, the YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad has signed a MoU with CSIR: Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani to carry out joint research in Electronics Engineering and other areas of mutual interest. The MOU has been signed by Dr. Shantanu Chaudhary, Director CSIR Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, PILANI and Prof Dinesh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University. CSIR-CEERI is a premier research institute in the field of electronics.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dinesh Kumar appreciated the efforts made by the Department of Electronics Engineering for making such academic tie-up for the promotion of excellence in higher studies and motivation of students. He said that CSIR-CEERI is amongst the top institutions of the country and YMCA University is keen to establish an environment of excellence in technical education through this collaborative initiative. Dr. Munish Vashishth, Chairman, Electronics Engineering Department said that the MoU would be fruitful for both the institutions as it would be a good opportunity for students and staff to work on different collaborative projects.
He informed that with the formal agreement between the two institutes; academic cooperation will take place in terms of exchange of faculty members, research scholars and students in the areas of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Image Processing, VLSI Design and Technology, High Speed Vision Systems, Digital System Designs, Internet of Things, Wireless Communications, Reconfigurable Computing, Microwave Engineering, Nanotechnology, Instrumentation and Control, Power Electronics, Micro-Electro-Mechanical System and Radio Frequency Micro-Electro-Mechanical System. The cooperative activities would include joint sponsored research and consultancy projects within the specified areas, organisation of joint conference, workshop and courses, joint supervision of PhD students and sharing the facilities of labs.
