Faridabad/ Alive News: UNESCO recognized World Earth Day was celebrated at Homerton Grammar School on 21st April, 2017 with a difference. The school wore a festive look when all the students from classes K.G to 12th actively participated in the event. The Kindergarten students had a thumb painting competition wherein they painted the model of our Mother Earth with the help of their thumbs and colours.
The children from classes 1st to 4th planted trees within the School campus, similarly, the students from classes 5th to 8th participated in a rally organised by the school with colourful banners and posters emphasizing and making people aware about the importance of cleanliness and a healthy environment and the students from classes 9th to 12th painted and decorated pots.
Under the guidance of Kuldip Singh, the Founder Principal of Homerton, they made ‘Bird Feeders’, put grains and water in them and hung them on trees to feed the birds in this hot weather. The hard work of the students was appreciated by the Principal of Homerton, Archana Dogra. The event was a huge success on the occasion.
