Mumbai/Alive News: The shooters accused of firing at actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai allegedly received updates from outside contacts while fleeing, according to media reports. A person reportedly warned shooter Rehan to escape after their faces appeared on television news.
According to The Indian Express, the accused changed their escape plan after learning that police had recovered their motorcycle and were aware of their movements. They allegedly travelled by motorcycle, cab and train to evade arrest.
The three shooters reportedly abandoned their motorcycle in Andheri, took a cab from Borivali to Surat and later boarded a train to Jaipur. Acting on information from Mumbai Police, Kota Police arrested all three on October 19, a day after the shooting.
Investigators reportedly traced their movements using a conventional phone call made to the cab driver. Police are also examining whether suspected handlers helped the accused during their escape.
According to The Times of India, accused Phool Singh told police that Tiger Shroff’s praise for Salman Khan during the promotion of Heropanti 2 in 2022 allegedly angered the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This claim has not been independently established.
Five to six rounds were reportedly fired near Tiger’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18. The actor escaped unharmed, while his driver and a vlogger sustained injuries. Police have arrested 10 people in connection with the case so far.
