One side where the life of movable theater (Bioscope) finished, while another side, if the few have been remained safe, then Haryana govt. wants to finish rather than protecting it.
Similarly, an incident came to see here in ongoing Surajkund International Crafts Mela, where several visitors were busy in photos clipping, shopping, singing & dancing. Almost every shopper wanted that more & more visitors should visit their stalls. But suddenly I saw there was a Bioscope but was no crowd there, and its operator Sanjay, native of Rajasthan was gazing at visitors. I went him to know reason, and then he narrated the whole story.
Actually, the life of movable Bioscope finished. There was a time, when a single sound of Bioscope man that see Red fort, Taj Mahal and Qutub Minar then fuddle children swiftly run towards Bioscope and they used to see anxiously. But it is misfortunate, the time has changed and now is the time for technology, mobile phone and TV have taken its place, so children now ask what this is.
Despairingly, he replied actually sir, this is my ancestral occupation in fact, I am also in the profession last thirty years. My family members including my father use to set Bioscope here in the Mela since starting of Mela, injustice is being done with us by the mela authority last few years, because earlier we were given Rs 400 to 500 hundred per day as Bioscope installing charge, and then we didn’t face any visitors to pay for watching Bioscope. But now the Mela authority stopped to give my right, that’s why we are asking people to pay Rs 20 per head for watching the Bioscope, so children have stopped to see it.
Another query about this future plane, Sanjay replied with laughing that. I have told you earlier that this is my ancestral occupation and I would continue of the occupation at any cost, but about the surajkund Mela, I can’t say any things. However, let me tell you, I play the Bioscope free of cast in Pinjore Garden (Chandigarh) throughout the year.
His thus replied has confirmed that how the Mela authority is ignoring the small artists. The Mela authority has no matter, whether small professional should participate in the Mela or not. Perhaps, this is the reason, when the Surajkund International Crafts Mela is being far from cultural arts and their organizers.
