Faridabad/Alive News: The Inaugural Ceremony of the Summer Science School, themed ‘Prerna-2025’, was held with great enthusiasm and reverence at D.A.V Public School, Sector-37. This Summer Science School is being organised in collaboration with SPSTI (Society for Promotion of Science and Technology in India) & Haryana Education Department, Panchkula from 3rd June to 24th June, 2025.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries from the educational and scientific community, marking a promising beginning for the camp focused on exploration, innovation, and learning. 200 students from D.A.V. Public School, Sector-37, S.S.M. Sr. Secondary School Ashoka Enclave 1, Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Sarai Khawaja, Govt. Sr. Secondary School Tilpat, Govt. Senior Secondary School, Sehatpur and Faridabad Model School, Sector-31, participated in the event.
The ceremony commenced with an Eco-Friendly Welcome extended to the distinguished guests, Sh. Sanjay Joon, Commissioner-Faridabad, Dr. Manoj Mittal-Deputy District Education Officer, Dr. Kamal-Block Education Officer, Mr. Shree Krishna Sharma-District Science Secretary, Sh. Dharamveer IAS (Retd.) President SPSTI, Dr. Kiya, General Secretary SPSTI, Sh. Ranjit, Retired from Department of Science and Technology and Dr. Ritu Sharma, Coordinator SPSTI. A special welcome was also extended to Ms. Deepti Jagota-Principal of D.A.V. Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad, and Ms. Namita Sharma-Principal, D.A.V. Public School Ballabhgarh.
To invoke divine blessings and wisdom, the traditional ceremonial lamp was lighted. The Gayatri Mantra was chanted in unison, signifying the dispelling of darkness and the enlightenment of intellect and inner light. A welcome note was delivered by representatives from SPSTI, appreciating the enthusiastic participation and collaboration between SPSTI and DAV Schools for nurturing scientific temper among students.
The Summer Camp was formally declared open by the Chief Guest, Sh. Sanjay Joon, who applauded the school’s initiative to host such a meaningful programme. He inspired the students to pursue scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
Principal Ms. Deepti Jagota expressed heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, educators, and students for their presence and contribution. She emphasized the school’s commitment to fostering innovation and curiosity in young minds. The event concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with a sense of pride and unity.
