Faridabad/ Alive News: The 4th sub-junior women boxing tournament was conducted by Faridabad District Boxing Association here in Pinewood International Boarding School, Faridabad today. All 33 players across the district had participated in the tournament and the winner players will be sent for the Haryana state sub-junior championship which to be conducted on February 16 to 19 in Rohtak. Meanwhile, as a chief guest SS Gusai, state president of Haryana Progressive Schools Conference (HPSC), and Rakesh Thakran, Haryana State Boxing Association’ Secretary were present guest of honour on the occasion.
The championship was headed by T.S Dalal, while the chairman O.P Parmar and the principal Narender Parmar giving bouquet of flowers welcomed all the guests. During this, Dr. Subhash Shyoran, Narayan Dagar, Bhupender Shyoran, B.D Sharma, Hemchand Sarpanch, Bharat Bhadana-Chairman of Block Committee and Mohammad Ali specially present on the occasion. Emphasising on the value of sports along with education the chief guest SS Gusai said player can bring laurel for him and his country just playing good, so a good player should introduce his talent by playing honestly. During this, chairman of the school announced O.P Parmar announced to donate Rs 1 lakh to promote sports.
Similarly, addressing the players the Principal Narender Parmar said the concluded 4th Sub-junior women Boxing Championship in which Vini Ranga, Prachi and Wamini Bhakar won gold medal and all 15 girl players for the Haryana State Sub-Junior Championship which to be started from 16 to 19 in Rohtak have been selected.
