St. Columbus School remembered soldiers killed in Sukma attack

Faridabad/ Alive News: St. Columbus School Dayal Bagh, Faridabad honoured the bravery of 25 valiant soldiers of CRPF who sacrificed their precious lives on 24th April 2017 at Sukma, Jharkhand. Since time immemorial our soldiers have been sacrificing their lives to protect the country at any cost.

A special assembly was held on 5th May 2017. After the prayer students were informed about Sukma attack. Rajni Kurra and Shweta Siddha spoke on the occasion and informed the students about a web portal “Bharat ke Veer” launched by government of India where a common citizen can also contribute for the bereaved families of these martyrs.

 Isha and Anuj Rawat of Class 11th shared their emotions on the occasion. It is true that money cannot heal the pain however some sort of financial assistance can play an important role in smoothening the lives of the families of these soldiers. The management, teachers and students of St. Columbus School have contributed wholeheartedly and an amount of Rs. 1, 21,000 was collected to donate on this web portal. The assembly came to an end with national anthem. The environment was surrounded by patriotic spirit.
