Faridabad/Alive News: Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur in DAV Public School, Sector 49, Faridabad. The whole ambience reverberated with patriotism. The function commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal of the school, B.K. Das along with all Wing Incharges, and the School Head Girl as well as Head Boy” It was followed by the recital of the National Anthem.
Tlre students presented an affay of performances including patriotic songs, an informative speech, a soulful classical dance performance, which left the audience enthralled. The talented sirg.rs made everyone sway to the tune of the melodious song, ‘Teri Mitti’.
The graceful rnovements of the pupils in the Field Display – Dumbbells gave a glimpse of unity in diversity. The champions of lnter-house activities of all the wings; namely, Primary Middle and Senior, and also the winners of National Sports Awards and other tournaments were felicitated by the Principal.The Alaknanda House bagged the first position and won the trophy.
The Principal delivered an inspiring speech, which stirred the patriotic sentiments of the pupils and the teachers. In his address, he urged the students to do their best and be proud to be Indians. The function concluded with the rendition of Shanti path.
