Faridabad/Alive News: Festivals are an integral part of Indian culture .DAV NH-3, NIT always teaches their children the importance of the traditions & the value of religious tolerance by celebrating them in school.
A special assembly was organized on Wednesday to celebrate Raksha bandhan and make the children understand the Indian culture & its importance. The programme was initiated with speech presented by Muskaan, Vishwajeet & Sadhana of class – II. They highlighted the significance of the day, followed by the melodious rhymes recited by the talented students of class I (Kavleen, Sejal) and U.KG. Class (Radhika) on Raksha bandhan. They were familiarized with the rituals & customs on Raksha bandhan.
The girls of kindergarten tied the silk thread called Rakhi on the boys’ wrist and prayed for their well being and boys promised to take care of their sisters. They gave them the gifts.Students were in colourful dresses and enthusiastically participated in the celebration.At the end, the school Principal Mrs. Jyoti Dahiya blessed the students and appreciated their efforts. Overall it was a day with full of fun and frolic.
