Rakhi festival celebrates in Ashirwad School with great pomp

Faridabad/ Alive News: Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing way to celebrate bond between brothers and sisters. To strengthen this bond the special assembly was organized under the supervision of Sadhvi Shri Devi, Chairman of Ashirwad Public High School on August 5, 2017 here today.

The school children of classes 6 to 12 participated in various programmes. The tinytots of the school were witnessed in colourful Indian traditional dresses and were very excited since the morning. They brought party food to make the day special. During this, Rakhi and Mendi making activity was also organized where the students learnt to make rakhis from their teachers. The students showed keen interest in the occasion and beautiful environment was made full of joy and love.


The school chairman, Sadhvi Shri Devi as well as the director, Anshu Singh while highlighting the Rakhi festival jointly said Rakhi is basically a sacred thread of protection embellished with the love and affection of a sister for her brother. This day is also known as Raksha Bandhan and celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravana in India. This frail of thread of Rakhi is considered as stronger than iron chains as it binds the most beautiful relationship in an inseparable bond of love and trust. Rakhi festival also has a social significance because it underlines the notion that everybody should live in harmonious coexistence with each other.
Apart from this, the school headmistress Jyoti Chopara told that the Independent Day program that runs for 15 days in school is also run during assembly, in which children are being taught about freedom fighters and all the things related to the 15th August.
