Faridabad/Alive News : To commemorate the 135th Birth Anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan as National Mathematics Day, the Department of Mathematics of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad organized various activities including Poster Making, Declamation Competition, and Cultural Programs.
The activities were conducted under the overall supervision of Dr. Neetu Gupta, Chairperson of the Mathematics Department. The student’s activities were also witnessed by Registrar Dr. S.K. Garg, chairpersons from other Departments, and senior officials. Registrar Dr. S.K. Garg applauded the creative work of students and appreciated the efforts of the Department in organizing the event.
During the program, Dr. Neetu gupta delivered expert talk on the life of Shrinivaas Ramanujan. In the Poster making competition, as many as 13 teams participated and students exhibited their talent. Anshul and Pratishtha of MSc mathematics first year won the first prize. Palak and Preeti of MSc first year won the second prize and Sheetal of MSc first year bagged third position.
Similarly, in the Declamation Competition, Pratishtha of MSc first year won the first prize. Second Prize won by Nidhi of MSc first year and third prize won by Anshul of MSc first year.
At the last of the event, prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions. The event was coordinated by Nisha Singh and Dr. Abhishek.
